Aidiladha and Merdeka

By the time you are reading this, it is already the half of 2018. Our team’s schedule for the first 6 months of 2018 has been hectic, filled with travels to various places to promote Droupr.

August looks to be an exciting month for Hari Raya Aidiladha and also marks the 61st anniversary of Merdeka, Malaysia’s Independence Day on 31st August.

This month is a special for Muslim worldwide as we celebrate Aidiladha. Aidiladha is also commonly known as Hari Raya Korban or Hari Raya Haji in Malaysia, a religious holiday that marks commemorates the sacrifices made by the Prophet Ibrahim (hence the word ‘korban,’ which means sacrifice in Arabic), who demonstrated immense faith when he was put to the test by God.

As the month of August folds in, the patriotic spirit soars while Malaysians from different states and all walks of life will come together to celebrate 61 years of Independence. When Independence was gained,  a man of fair judgement and insight took to a stages of Stadium Merdeka. Tunku Abdul Rahman, as known as “Bapa Kemerdekaan”, chanted “MERDEKA!” to a stadium of roaring audiences signifying the beginning of a new nation.

We wish you a great carpool journey balik kampung for Aidiladha with Droupr always and a wonderful visit of stopover Malaysia and Selamat Menyambut Hari Merdeka.
